I would like to honor my son-in-law. Max was a great Navy Corpsman assigned to Marine units first in Iraq and then again in Afghanistan. Max came home Sept 2010. He never showed it, but he must of been hurt inside. Max left us in July. He was a wonderful son-in-law, husband, and father. We all miss you very very much.

I would like to honor a Soldier of mine SSG Shannon Smith that made the ultimate sacrafise September 8, 2009 in Northern Iraq while provided route security. Shannon’s MRAP Vehicle struck an Explosive Formed Projectile (EFP). Shannon along with hit two Soldiers were killed. This was is second tour in Iraq which he wanted…He is an oustanding leader that Soldiers’ followed without question. One of the best NCOs in my Platoon…..Love ya and miss you SMITTY
